Compassionate Care for a New Direction.
Connection is an important part of feeling like we belong. When we loose connection to the people and places we love, hope can become hard to find.
Symptoms associated with mental health disorders like depression and anxiety can create a wall that prevents connection to our sense of self, as well as push away the people we love most. Add traumatic experiences along with genetic predisposition and the symptoms become so much worse, making the need for connection greater, but much more difficult to achieve. Next thing you know it can feel like the world is out to get you, and no one loves you.
As a marriage and family therapist, I formed Starr Therapy Services to help rebuild these lost connections, because I truly believe in the healing power of healthy relationships.
